Looks good. What did you add that caused the ammonia to rise?

That's probably what caused it. It should be no big deal, especially if the stuff is cured. If your fish are gasping at the surface, then do some water changes, but I really doubt it'll get higher than where it's at.

Hi I just switch from freshwater to saltwater.I am running a 55gal tank with two canisters xp3 and a protien skimmer.I also would to have live rocks and some fish also I was woundering if I should use a wet and dry filer and not use my canister. I've also heard of the wet and dry problems like if the power goes out I can have a flood in my living room ( Wife will kill me!!!) what should I do ????. :sim: :

ANY ammonia present is bad, but as long as it stays below 0.25ppm it wont be immediatly fatal, but over the long term it can be a problem.
