 i had a clown loach for a while before someone told me they were best kept in groups. at the moment my tank is fairly small so i went out and got one more. most of the time they get on fine, but today they have started to attack each other, and yesterday they ganged up on a small angel i had just put in the tank and killed it. the fish are in good health and i cannot find any reason within there enviroment for this aggression. is this maybe to do with whos the top dog or is there something i should be looking for. please help as i love these two characters.

someone told me they were best kept in groups they were correct, but two is not a group. get 4-5 more and they'll behave in a manner befitting clown loaches. if your tank is not large enough, don't keep fish that grow too large for it to begin with.

How big is your tank? (please don't say 10 gallons).

I have 5 and that is not enough if you ask me. The more the better.

I have 7 clowns and they won't even chase barbs away from their banana.
I've never seen any aggression toward each other or another fish. They snuggle my 16" pleco!@#?
