Can frozen blood worms, etc. import diseases into a tank?

I have lost 3 fish in 2 days. None of my water tests show anything that could be causing a problem. Nothing (NOTHING) about this tank has changed, except that I started feeding frozen foods a couple weeks ago.

Is it possible that something came into the tank with the food?

I don't know about frozen foods introducing disease to the tank, is the food sitting on the tank floor for long periods? What is your maintenance schedule like? Meaning how often do you change the water and vaccuum the floor of the tank(s)? What's in the tank, fish-wise?

I do 60% water changes (with a gravel vacuum) every 4 days. My cory cat and two snails generally keeps the floor of the tank pretty clean in between. The water quality is very consistant.

I had a pair of bettas (the male died) a trio of danios (both males died), and what's left is the female betta, the female danio, one cory cat (I've been trying to find him some mates, but my QT tank has mollie fry in it at the moment) and a pair of Mollies.

hmmm... sounds like a beautifully kept tank, Kate... I wish I could offer you more advice but fact is, I've never had a problem with questioning whether frozen foods produced diseases to the tank... I always thought they were safest.

That's odd. How old are the fish?
