Well I've never posted a question before so I hope I do this right. I have just entered the hobby and still learning alot. Thought I had a clue but found I don't. Anyway, I started a 60 gal saltwater tank on Mar 15th. I have put about 15 lbs of live rock (I know I need more but money you know) I have also put a dozen brown leg hermit crabs, 6 turbo snails in to clean up the brownish algae and they have done a great job. I have done 1 10-15% water change and all the levels in the tank are in the right range as far as I can tell. I use a Quick Dip test kit. So it shows 5 tests on one stick. The temp is around 78. I just purchased 2 percula clownfish and put them in the tank on 26 Apr. They seemed to be happy swimming around and one (orangish/yellow color) seem to eat fine and the other (bright orange) didn't eat until yesterday. I fed them flake food. Well this morning I woke to find my hermit crabs piled ontop of the orangish/yellow one. He had died. He seemed fine last night so I was wondering if this is just one of those things or did I do something wrong. I know feel like maybe I'm in over my head. Sorry if this is so long I wasn't sure what was needed to help me understand my loss fish. So sad didn't seem right. I appreciate any help.
