Will this work, tank divider??

I have a 15G tank and was wondering if this setup would work. Plannig on keeping Pink Convict fry on one side as a growout and the adults on the other.

Why would you keep the parents separate from the fry? C/A Cichlids take really good care of their fry, and research shows that separation is not an ideal situation for fry growth.

I agree with Chil. By the time that the fry are big enough that the parents will start beating on them, that'd be a helluva bio load if everyone survived. I'd look at getting a tank to hold the mature fry after you remove and start handing them out to people.

As they have more and more I was planning on feeding them to my larger cichlids and barbs.
