lighting t5 or pc

ok i need to get lighting in my 110 gallon cichlid tank..so what is better 4 48" 54 watt T5 lighting or 4 48" 55 watt power compact lighting?

Which one gives better light?
Which one lasts longer?
Which one has cheaper bulbs?

For a non planted cichlid tank you could just get a single or double strip light. You could even go really cheap and buy a shop light fixture (under $10). The PC and T5 lights are more for a planted tank.
