I'm in the process of gathering supplies for my mbuna tank to be set up in Aug. I have an aquaclear 110 already. Would a second 110 be sufficient, or would I be better with a canister (rena XP3)? Would I notice a difference between the two?

I have a magnum 350 canister and a penguin bio-wheel 350...Can never have to mucch filtering with those guys...i'd say stick with the aquaclear and get the rena too

If only money were no object....

So, if it were one or the other...go rena? Or can I get equal performance from the AC110 (and save 60 bucks)?

If you had to do just one... I would go with the Rena XP3. If you can do both, then adding the aquaclear will be good. It'll be beneficial to be able to store more floss and possibly crushed coral in the aquaclear. Also, having two filters is ideal so you can alternate cleaning them.

IMO you'll need more then just the AC 110 if your doing mbuna.
