Okay, I am a real newbie here so please bear with me. we recently purchased a male Betta fish and a little golden mystery snail. We have a 10g tank and put the fish and snail in a couple days ago. I am pretty sure that our betta killed the snail beacue we saw him pecking at the snail a couple times and then the snail never came out again, just sort of floated around the bottom of the tank. I thought it was just 'chillin' because I read a post on another forum that mystery snails sometimes do that. But then the water started to get cloudy yesterday and even worse today. I took a better look at the snail and it really looks dead, the foot looks to be fallen out a bit and it is totally non reactive to food etc. we took the snail out of the tank, but the water is really cloudy and I don't want to leave the Betta in there because I am afraid the water might be toxic. What do I do??
