Sup all i just changed from diy co2 to compressed co2, and i like already :) anyway the directions dont tell you **** heh i hooked everthing up right i guess the CO2 reactor that dissolves 180 bubbles per minute <-= click for pic. i dont know what speed i should put it on right now its on half speed should i make it faster or leave it on slow? Here is the pic of the co2 tank gauge i have it on 15 should i up it too 20?
Is low ph good i have 7 fish + 20 shrimp, i know the hardness is hard i didnt use the water softer on the last water change is it better to have hard or soft water when useing co2. O and iam getting 1 bubble a sec :) sorry for all the question and rambling heheh
my tank info
no3=0
no2=0
gh=300
kh=200
ph=6.6-6.4 in that range
co2 ppm 23

Oky doky, well welcome to the world of injection…. First off rather to have harder water than soft, (to a point) Low GH could result in a PH crash. Here is my suggestion for attaining a good CO2 level. Set you bubbles per min on the low end of what you think is reasonable…. Let the tank equalize, then fill a sample of water into a cup. Let the cup sit overnight, test the ph in both the sample and the tank, aim for a 1.2 spread in PH. Increase the CO2 to lower the tank ph until the spread is achieved….

just took a sample of water ill let it sit over night and test tomorrow ill let you know later thaxs for the info

with the light off and co2 still running iam getting 6.8ph and the water i took out last nite iam getting 7.8ph. so i need to be running 40ppm of co2? right now iam at 23ppm what should i do plez help :)
