Hi Tom, I'd posted here on 4/25/06 "And then the staghorn algae showed up".
I followed your reccomendations on the dosing and lighting. All the algae has slowly died back except the staghorn.
I had posted that my ph went from 7.0 to 6.6. I was assuming that during the 12 hour night my tank was completely de-gassing. I was wrong. Sunday my co2 tank ran out and I couldn't fill it until monday a.m. I checked my ph and it was 7.6 . The tapwater ph is a steady 7.6 . It looks like about half the co2 de-gasses at night. So I am dropping ph the full log that RTR suggested.
The staghorn is still growing but seems easier to remove for the last couple of days. Does it sound like it's on the way out? Still weedin' the garden daily.
There are some pics of this tank in the thread " Updated pics of 125g discus tank. Thanks again.
