:Dhey everyone. just wanted to let u know that my cories are spawning! im so excited. theyve been spawning for about 4 days. thats not usual is it? from what ive found they normally only spawn for a 24 hour period. ive got one female and 2 males-paleatus. nyway idont know if the eggs are going to hatch because i dont have a new heater yet-wont be able to get one until the first of april. but im so proud of them i went out and got them some broccoli- they really love it- its a special treat for them. does ny one have any advice? (or a free heater for a 75g long and deep ;) ?)

hey, thanks. just wanted to let u know, they are still spawning! i think its been about 7 or 8 days-i stopped counting. anyway, certain areas of my substrate are covered in eggs. had to do a water change because of the ones that wouldnt hatch. it caused an amonia spike. but now i got my tank at 80 degrees. hopefully these will hatch. your going to laugh about my ghetto heater. i actually had one of those hot plates that are used for keeping buffets warm. i put it up against the back of the tank and plugged it in, then watched the temp very closely. after about 36 hours, the temp went from 70 degrees to 80 degrees. it has stayed at 80 for two days consistently. guess i got lucky!

Cories will be happier at 70oF I think. No need to heat em up in a heated house.
Which Cories are they?
