Wet-dry OK for planted aquarium?

It should be fine with pressurized CO2 and maybe a few modifications to the intake...Tom Barr could better explain this to you....he has used wet/dry filters on his plant tanks before, I believe..hopefully he'll chime in.

A conventional commercial W/D - which has a cover on the "dry" tower - will normally not cost you any significant CO2 off-gassing as you have with biowheels. Some open-topped DIY towers have reported significant CO2 loss.

Originally W/Ds were designed and operated with airstones under the tower, but that seems to have largely been dropped as not needed. Airstones operated under the tower would increase CO2 loss and should not be used.

I can't tell any difference in CO2 need between my canister-supported tanks and my W/D supported tanks.
