I am thinking about adding a seswril return to my tank. I want to move 600 gph at 4' head. Are there any major advantages to internal vs external pumps or is it a prefrence. I am currently using a external pump for my return and am concerned about the extra noise a secon pump would add.

the only diffrences besides space that i could see is the waste heat pumps add to the system. other than that i dont think it matters. just my 2cents.......
