I was cleaning my tank yesterday, and found a little gellatinous mass with little clear spheres in it on one of the pieces on plastic plant that I toook out of my tank. This morning, I noticed a similar type thing on another plant. I would appreciate any suggestions as to what it may be from.

For reference, I have a 55 gallon tank with 6 scissor tails, 2 Buenos Aires tetras, 2 Borneo suckers, 1 flying fox, and an undetermined amount of algae-eating shrimp and ghost shrimp. At last count, I could find about 5 algae eating and 6 ghost shrimp. There's probably more hiding in the plants that I couldn't find.

Thanks for any help.

Do you have any snails in your tank? It appears to be snail eggs. Hope this helps...

Not that I can see. I did find a couple snails a few months after I put in some live plants, but took them out right away in fear of an outbreak of snails, but haven't seen any new ones for the last month or so. I was really hoping I wasn't going to have a snail problem....

Thanks for the help.
