It looks like you might have a tiny iota of space someplace between the Carapo Knife and the Pleco. Why not cram something else into there?
Maybe you're just trying to save money on the water bill. I guess if you have more fish than water by volume in a tank you're really maximizing the efficient use of space.

so yea
dragon fish can survive in fresh water.
but their overall life span and life quality will be dramatically diminished.
dont sacrifice your fish for your own personal lack of motivation or the inability to aford the proper set up..
DONT PUT BRACKISH F***ING FISH IN A FRESHWATER TANK MAN.
NO ONE WILL TELL YOU ANY DIFFERENT.
( and if the do they have brown eyes man)

take a better loook at my sig. he is in a 45 tank. there is no way i would trust the fish in my 55. actually, sence they are a goby, most people just pass them off as only brackish, but they come from estuaries at the end of the amazon, and since all are wild caught, they can take a wide range of salinity with the prper Acclimation

Everytime I do I wish you'd give up fish keeping.

the fish can tolorate freshwater yes.
but in the wild the stay in estuarian enviroments, just like you said.
they only swim into fresh or marine for breeding of feeding purposes. but they dont live full time in freshwater, because it lacks the vital mineral and chemical nutrients that are found within the estuarian enviroment.
so like i said.
your poor fish will indeed live in freshwater. but its life will suck. and you are the only one who can control that fishes life quality.
IF YOU CAN'T PROVIDE A PET THE PROPER SET UP, AS IN NOT BEING ABLE TO PROVIDE THAT ANIMAL WITH EVERYTHING IT NEEDS TO LEAD A HAPPY LIFE, YOU SHOULD NOT BUY THAT PET.
BUT AS RASCO PUT IT, ITS OBVIOUSLY TOO LATE TO TELL YOU ANYTHING

i have 4 dragons that seemed happy in freshwater...but i recently converted them to brackish and they have really come to life, they are now much more active and growing much quicker. they were fine in f/w as i said but the change is really noticeable. just my two cents!!!!!

Ok, you JUST bought a dragonfish and is already thriving in brackish? How do you know it is thriving? Just cause it is breathing and eating? That does not mean thriving! Thriving means growing huge, reproduction colors, willingness to breed, active, etc. Plus I HIGHLY doubt the fish 1 foot plus in freshwater were captured as babies. Meaning they grew up in brackish in the wild then some person that is too ignorant to care what their habits are throws them in freshwater? Plus if you have them in freshwater, why are you posting in the brackish section? This is meant for BRACKISH FISH IN BRACKISH WATER!

if you would get thrown into a small room swimming in your crap, with unhealthy conditions you could still live for a while but does that mean that you will be (thriving!!)? you should consider listening to these guys since they obviously know what they are talking about. Perhaps the comment under your alias is appropriate.

Which might be the case if the ones available to suppliers and shops were not all wild-caught.

What about fishkeepers Amazon comment? I thought these guys were more like from South Carolina to Central America, coastal waters.

FW puffers are not brackish fish you idiot.
many fish can tolorate BW, even full marine, for long periods of time.
some are even improperly kept or breed in FW conditions.
but...
just because a fish can live in FW means in no freekin way that they would not benefit GREATLY from proper BW conditions.
This aint politics, facts are ****ing facts man.
when a moderatior gives you information, you graciously accept their information, and do some research to verify its validity, dont argue with BS you think you know. Any credible source will tell you that you are wrong

man i couldnt even imagine putting that much fish in a 125 let alone a 55.....i have one gt in my 55 gallon tank and he dose nothing but sulk ...cause the tank is to small for him......thats why i'm setting up my 125 ....and im way over filtering it ...for that many fish u have in a 55 i dont think u could fit enough filters on it to handle that many!
