I've been doing some reading up on my peppered cory cats to try and figure out their sex, and I've read in a few places that these guys can actually grow up to 3 1/2" to 4" and are one of the larger species of cory cats. Is this true? Has anyone here ever had one get to that size? I was under the impression that 2" to 2 1/2" was the max size. Mine were purchased as 1" juveniles and they are growing quite quickly, measuring almost 2" inches now in just 6 weeks.

I use to have lots of different corys. My "peppers" grew to about 3+ (males a little smaller). I had 3 Cory Barbadus and they were about 5 inches.

Thanks for the info! I've never kept this type of cory, so the larger size is news to me!
