I have several altispinosa's scattered in several tanks.(thanks to Petsmart having them on sale for $1.00 ea)
I have a pair that I got were very small..I put them in my 75..by far the prettiest two I have.I've had these two for several months.
PetSmart had them and put them on sale(2.99) so I bought two big ones..they colored up nicely in my 20..they swim with my oto's and barbs.
I got two more when petSmart put the rams on sale for$1.00 I pput them in my quarantine tank(tho they had them at petsmart for over a month and half..one reason they had them on sale..they were very drab looking at petsmart but I knew their potential..so I pick two of the smaller ones they had..
they were n quarantine for two weeks when an emergency forced me to move them to my 20. an angel got hurt and got popeye..so Iplaced the two smaller ones in the tank with the two bigger ones..immediatey,the dominant male started courting a small one(I didn't know it was a female till today)
she laid eggs on a flat stone above their hideout..YIKES..talk about a short courtship..
now the second small one has dropped a breeding tube and it looks like it is also a female..hokey shmokes...
the angel in feeling better on day three of tetracyline..I am using it as a precaution
