ok I am currently feeding my managuenses hikari cichlid gold, freeze dried krill once a week, night crawlers and/or mealworms every other week, and about 5 feeders once a month and sometimes i feed them frozen krill instead of freeze dried but anyway... if anyone has any suggestions to improve their diet please let me know.

p.s.. u anyone says anything about the feeders I quarintine them for about 3 weeks. :duh:

mine gets a mix of hikari bio-gold, hikari gold, tetra cichlid sticks, tetra color cichlid sticks, and tetra jumbomin. that is how i got my jag to 14" and beautiful. i bought new life spectrum once and refuse to buy it ever again. besides it being way overpriced, their cichlid food claims to feed all herbivorous, omnivorous, and carnivorous cichlids (impossible). but the nutritional facts and ingredients on this magical cichlid food is exactly the same as their goldfish food. so im not giving my hard earned money to a company that not only cant come up with different foods for different cichlids, but cant even come up with different foods for cichlids and goldfish. if you dont see hikari bio godl in your LFS, they should be able to special order it for you. it is more expensive, but a very good food.

 Quality pellet, variety, seems like you got it covered. (good move on the feeder quarentine). They should be happy & healthy w/ that diet.

:read: Read something in T.F.H. a while back about this product https://dainichi.com/cichlid_food_ultima.html so I gave it a try. My guys LOVED it!! I use both the Ultima & the ColorSupreme. Hikari sinking carnivore pellets (mostly 4 the 'cat') & Hikari algae wafers for a nice variety. Periodic treats include freeze dried krill & frozen cichlid chow - San Francisco Bay. Once or twice a mo. I toss them 3/4 live crayfish. Is this an expensive diet?? --- Definitely!! It's not 4 everyone, but the results ---- PRICELESS!!

thank u guys for the info ima try the bio gold and the tetra jumbo sticks
