So would you if someone gave you valium 
I think it's not a good idea to put stuff in your aquarium unless you know what exactly it is you are putting in there.
So, according to the bottle, what is it that is "calming" them down? Does it even list it?

Amquel Plus is a water conditioner. Apparently so is Aqua Plus. Why are you treating your water twice?

You don't need "coat" protection unless there is an injury. Fish produce all the slime coat they need. If they need help with something, a slime coat protector isn't going to help much. They'll need stronger meds than that.

Aloe? Name me *one* body of water that has aquatic life that contains aloe. Fish don't need "slime coat enhancers". They make their own slime coat and really don't need any assistance.
If your fish are stressed it might be better to look for the cause and treat that, rather than bandage the symptoms and hope for the best.

I don't really know how to not stress fish when taking them out and throwing them in a bucket during transportation.

As for aloe?
It's 95% water in itself *shrug*
The slime coat inducer only works if you double your dosage to the point where it will actually irritate the skin otherwise that aspect is quite useless and harmless. (Aloe is seperate from the slime coat protection.)
always listen to the company that makes stuff.if i did i would put in 20$ worth of additives at every water change. i would also put in some very expensive dead bacteria.
If you are moving them to another tank, you don't need anything. The stress won't hurt them.twig said:

If you are moving them via car or something, try methylene blue.
Yes, I did. You said, "My cardinals are rather sensitive to stress when being moved or any such thing and I notice that they do seem much calmer after a dose of aquaplus".
Where does that say you are transporting them? You said "moved or any such thing". Could mean anything at all.
Hey, if you want to pollute your tank water with stuff that has aloe in it, that's your perogative. Just don't expect to post about it and not hear negative comments.
You still haven't posted what exactly is in Aqua Plus yet. Assuming it's aloe that is "calming" them down is a bit of a reach when the rest of the ingredients haven't been researched.
