35 gallon hex to breed

I've been hearing about setting up like a convict tank for feeders cause im going to have a large ciclid tank.....and i have this 35 gallon hex tank would that make a good tank for them...or would they do better in like a 20 long ?

they would do better in the long, but I don't think a 20 is big enough for them. If the pair don't get along the male will kill the female in a smaller tank. Plus its a good idea to get some dither fish. Currently I have a pair in a 40 with 7zebra danios . The first week all they did was chase and bully each other now I think they have settled down. Eggs soon I hope. Good luck

well im just trying to find somthing to do with the hex tank.....i dunno ill look aroudn and see what i can find
