nah, nothin' to worry about at all. plecos are pretty much 100% herbivorous,
and my mother had a 9" long pleco with her large tank of guppies, and he never even noticed the fry. :thm:

If your going to keep a clown be sure to have driftwood in the tank.

From Planetcatfish
A wood-eating fish, the tank should be decorated with several different types of driftwood. These fish really like to have something to chew on and squash, cucumber, and other vegetables should be readily available to them (yams are a favourite). Supplement two to three times weekly with frozen foods.

Also every clown that I have owned never touched algae. If this is what you want a pleco for, I would suggest a bristlenose

Many plecos are carnivorous. Even the primarily vegetarian ones will also eat some meat now and then.

that's why I said ALMOST completely herbivorous. and i know there are meat eating plecos, I have one! and I think a bristlenose would be better, too.
