I have a calico fancy goldfish. One of its eyes is completely black. Is the eye dead or is this normal? The black pattern on the fish goes over the eye, so I don't know if it s normal or not.

At school in the Bio lab, there is a goldfish that has red eyes. I think that he would be perfectly normal. Goldfish are different and have different eye colors, just like us.
My Shubunkin goldfish had splotches of white, orange and black. If the black happened to cover part or all of an eye, then the entire eye was also black. Just part of the coloring, unless it's like a tumor.
