Disinfecting a tank

I won't get into the long story, but basically I had to disinfect my 10 gallon tank after using it as a hospital tank about a month ago yet not having time to get bleach or actually do it for a while... anyways, tonight I finally filled the tank with water and chlorox (I believe it is about a 20:1 ratio), started the filter up just to get the water moving a little, and tossed all the plastic plants, airstone, gravel cleaner, etc. in there.

After searching these forums, I have been unable to find out exactly how long I should let it run with this bleach water. I have been running it since about 7:30 tonight, and it is now just past 10:30... would three hours be sufficient, or would it be best to just let it run overnight?

Any help will be much appreciated!

usually 20 minutes is sufficient to kill whatever pathogens are left in the tank. Just drain it, rinse everything well, and it air dry. When you refill double dose on dechlorinator and you will be fine.
