y is my tank cloudy????

I'm still very new, but from what i've read around here first try and determine what color cloudieness it is. You can do this by taking a cup of the water and holding it up to a white piece of paper for reference. If the cloudiness is white or a milky shade, then this could be due to a bacterial bloom. If this is a new tank that is also a contributor to a bacterial bloom. If it is green in color, then this is an algae bloom caused by unicelluar algae floating in the water. But none of this is certain without your tank parameters of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate. How much light are you running and for how long? Live plants? etc....
