i have a 30gallon tank with 1 giant dano 2dempseys and a port cichlid i want to add corys i was like about 6 or 7 corys would they be able to survive and is this too many ????

on one hand the cories are going to spend their time on the bottom, so they shouldn't really interfere with the other fish. once the others get full grown the corys may start looking like snacks though.
on the other hand, I can tell right now that tank will be overcrowded before long. jack dempseys alone can get to 8" long, and judging by the size of my 29 gallon tank, there won't be a heck of a lot of room for them by then. add in a 6" port cichlid and things will be VERY tense in there. if youare upgrading the tank before they get too big however, you may be OK.

well im selling the dempseys soon becouse there gettin too big and i may just have like the 6corys and2Opaline Gouramis and a port cichlid

I had an opaline gourami with peppered cories for a long time and they were fine, just watch the 2 gouramis together, they can be worse than cichlids

really maybe i wont get those cuz the reason i wanted them is so i dont have to get new fish every week lol but thats good to know
