Does anyone keep a fish journal? If yes, what type of format do you use?

When I started with a simple 2.5 gal, I kept a hand written log - more like a diary. But I have gotten very lax now that I have 2 2.5s, a 10 gal, a 29 gal, an 18 gal, a 65 gal and am working on a 195 gal.

I know I need to try and record info but am not sure what layouts or templates are easiest. Any suggestions?

P.S. I've been called anal-retentive with paperwork filing and maybe over obsessed but......

Maybe an excel spreadsheet would work better for you. Just keep it all on the comp. I keep mine logged in a notebook but only have 2 tanks so that is easiest for me.

Rosita - let me know how you lay your spreadsheet out will ya? I've tried a couple different things: 1)tab per tank with parameters in left column, 2) parameter per tab with all tank listings, 3) one huge spreadsheet will all tanks and all parameters.... Just curious.

You can set up a spreadsheet to have multiple pages. Maybe you should just have a page per tank?
