MY YELLOW TANG FISH LOOKS PALE! WE HAD ZEBRA DAMSELS IN WITH HIM FOR THE LAST 1-2 MONTHS, BUT THEY STARTED PICKING AT THE TANGS TALE. WE REMOVED THEM FROM THE TANK, BUT NOW I FEEL THE TANG IS STRESSED. ANY SUGGESTIONS?undefinedTANG FISH

take a pic of your tang and post it. We could then take a look at it. Are you sure it wasnt just pale because you had just turned the lights on or off?
i highly doubt that hermits would pick at the tale of a fish that swims as much as a tang.
he might have some fin rot.
but we would need a pic to fully know what is going on.

Whats your photoperiod(how long and when the lights are on)? My yellow tang tends to get pale if I leave the lights on for about a half hour more than my regular photoperiod(13H), so that may be causing it.

Whats the water parameters, how big is the tank, and what other fish (if any) are in the tank with him/her?

Make sure it also gets vegetables such as lettuce or nori in its diet. Otherwise, they tend to become pale

that is a very good point. if you always turn your lights off at the same time, and this time you didnt, your fish will suspect it and get ready for bed. kinda like im about to do
