My 30 Gallon is fully cycled  and I am now thinking about what fish to add. I know I am going to put my blue ram pair in the tank because they were the reason I bought the tank. I want to keep the tank simple and was thinking about having them as the only fish in the tank however, I love the look of a fairly large school of fish so I was thinking about getting some Cardinal Tetras. Will they get along with the rams? How many would be an appropriate amount for the tank? Any other options or suggestions?

It all actually depends on the rams... from my limited experience, some ramsa are quite aggressive and will look at the cardinal tetras as a shiny delicious meal.... However, some will just ignore them...

The fact that you have 2 of them probaby helps out the situation as well... keeping them procupied and not worrying about the little insignificant fish in the tank...

I would say buy a small school of maybe 5 or so and see if they seem to be doing ok... and then slowly add more fish into the school until you have as many as you want....

good luck!
