i have strawberry tetras first fish i got they lok like white skirts with a pink stripe down thier back?

It's becuase thier died. keep your expectations as far as lifespan goes to a minimum.

The fish that are dyed via baths (like 'fruit/berry' tetras) are the least damaged by the experience and do not typically see a significantly shortened lifespan. Fish that are injected with dye (painted glassfish, dyed Corydoras, etc) do have shorter lifespans and are far more suceptible to fungal and bacterial infections. So far there is not yet enough data on tattooed fish to determine the lifespan of fish that survive more than 3-4 weeks past the tattoing.
