can someone help me
i have a 30 gallon tank that got cracked and it was housing an angelfish and zebra danios. well they are in buckets now and are getting stressed. i have a really big tank that has 2 oscars and 2 jack dempseys. can i put the angelfish in there.

I wouldn't. Surely the larger, more aggressive chichlids would either 1) nip at and attack the angels or 2) cause an extreme amount of stress on them leading to eventual disease and/or death. Either way not a good way to go. If you have no other choice right now I would go out and get (depending on their size) a 2.5 or 5.5 as a temporary set up. Try to find a reputable LFS that will allow you to bring it back for credit and maybe put money towards a much larger tank when you can. Just my 2 cents.

lots of folks buy those light grids, cut them and make dividers out of them..
they are stout and allow clear water flow.(same thing they use on the bottoms of tanks to disperse wt of rocks)

I concur with others I would not put my angels in a tank with oscars or JD's

Although I've seen angels and oscars living together, I wouldn't want to just throw them in together. The tank I saw was not only huge (probably over 200 gallons) but the fish had all been stocked as very small juveniles. It was pretty cool to see adult oscars and angels living in harmony, but I doubt that would happen if they didn't grow up together.

Yea its called eggcrate, thats actually a good idea and would be cheaper than buying a pre-made divider. Just get some at your hardware store and cut it to the size you need. The danios would get through but none of the others. Hopefully the danios would figure out not to go through so you could keep them.
