What's the best and the most reasonably priced bubble counter and where can I order one?

I made one out of a small glass jar with a plastic lid. Drilled two holes--one for airline in and one for line out. Filled it half full of water, put the in hose into the water and the out hose above the water. Works great and it was free.

Skittyfish.....I'm almost afraid to ask, but explain this contraption further.

Yeah, for the sake of the hard of understanding, could you re-explain that? Got any pics?

Its just a little jar, kind of like the kind you get at Christmas with the marmalade and jellies in them. This one came from Wal-Mart with a salt and pepper grinding kit (don't ask). It's about 3 inches tall and maybe 1 1/2 in in diameter, has a lid, I used that white plumbers tape to make sure it was really tight. Had my hubby drill two holes opposite each other on the lid. Put the hose with the air from cylinder in one and the hose going to tank in the other, filled the jar half way with water. Put the hose with air coming in all the way into the water, you can see the bubbles, the other hose is at the top so the air has to go out to the tank.

I put a picture on the net, click on my pictures and go to odds and ends. Its in there.

Just a minute, wait, yes there it is! The 13 Watt bulb finally came on. I get it now, the bubble counter jar is outside the tank! :o

Thanx for dumbing it down :D

Now, how does the salt and pepper grinder fit into all this

Ok, now I see what you were trying to describe in the previous thread. It's pretty much the same deal that I use. I just put the CO2 line into the bottom of a clear tube going up into my power head and count the bubbles the same way. My problem is that once I get up around 3 bubbles/sec. it's a little difficult to keep count. I'm roughly at 170-180/min.(just under 3/sec.). I thought there would be a more clear way of determining the count. Luckily I don't have to go to 5-6/sec. to reach my target pH. My eyes would be crossed trying to keep up.
And exactly how much pepper do you put into that contraption?

Morons, are you sure you aren't from Kentucky?

If you aren't DIY inclined, Plantguild sells another one that is close to the same but also comes with a sticky patch to stick it on the aquarium.

An ya know we's got them newfangled thingamabobs called shooz. Not shore hows I like 'em yet.

Honestly, when I was a kid we went to Milwaukee and stayed in this swanky hotel, and someone asked where we were from. When we said Kentucky their jaws litterally dropped open and they said "But, you have shoes on!"
