Silver Dollars & new fish

I'm deciding on the different fishies I'd like in my new 10g. Have picked neon tetras-4; fancy guppies-3 (mff & hopefully blue & red). Since silver dollars would be too large for my tank, I'd like a "look-alike." Any suggestions? I'm not sure what other fish I may add, but I am trying not to overstock.

I would do 6 neons becuase they, and almost every other charcin, like to be in numbers, then with the guppys, you'd be pretty much stocked (leave extra room for any guppy fry that will end up in your tank).

The closest look alike I could find was the gold tetra, but you wouldn't be able to fit them and the neons in a 10g, but you cloud fit either one.

thanks, Dork.........I think I've decided: a few neons & cardinals, along w/ 3 fancy guppies. Too many?? Have been looking through the species profiles & when it says "groups," how many does it mean?

Another ?? Can I hang the pump, filter, & heater all at the same corner of the tank?

A honey gold gourami kind of has that same flat, shiny shape. They are also small and peaceful and would be okay with the other fish you like.
