there's plenty you can add to that. Bear in mind that bettas are easily accommodated in a 2 1/2gal tank. 3 neons is by no means 7 1/2 gallons worth of fish! You could easily go for a school of 6 neons (or more) plus 5-6 cories, and maybe even an oto or 2. The possibilities are endless...

thanks, british dudes! I was thinking a school of x-ray fish and a small pleco or some corys.

That would work well, Alaskan dude! ;)
Go for 6-8 x ray fish, 5-6 cories, and you could probably add a SMALL pleco species on top of that (nothing over around 3 inches), such as a zebra pleco.

I love my ten gallon set up... and yours could be bascially the same .... substitute the gourami with your beta and there ya go....

i know it might sound twisted... but my gourami really enjoys his monthly snack on baby platys..... and your betta would do a good job of keeping unwanted fry under control as well....

Hey DBak - does it seem like your gourami takes care of all the fry? or just a few? Only the teensy ones? Im wantng to get one in my 20 gallon, and would be able to supply him with plenty of guppy fry then. (had to move big poppa guppy to the 10 for awhile, still have to figure out what to do with the existing fry....)

I must admit, that my platy's have not yet had a HUGE batch or fry..... but my gourami definately handles the litters that they have let out so far....

I would say that usually the litter would be around 7 to 10 every months and half or two months... and in a few days.. before they get too big.... "Cobalt" the gourami has them gone....

I would not be suprised if the platy's and swordtail actually eat a few of them too.... but i havent ever seen it happen before...

hope this helps
