Does anyone have experience with this?

Hello, I know they like to have cooler water, I beleive about 74-76d F. I have 2 pepper cories in my tank and I usally keep my temp between 78-80d F. They seem to do ok with this temp. Currently my tank is sitting at about 84d F and they are doing ok. The temp slowly was raised due to outside tank temp and I am working to get this back down. I am rather new to the hobby and I am sure someone will have a better answer but I thought I would let you know my experience with them.

Most corys should be kept below 78ºF, but C. gossei and C. sterbai thrive in temps as high as 82º...and C. sterbai are amongst the most attractive corys.

ditto on the sterbai's. "regular" cories have trouble over 78 and I've noticed more barbel damage when temps went up. I recently sold all of my cories because my tank gets too hot for them in the summer and they were miserable. Much less active, faster breathing, and reduced barbel length. I had sterbai's, though, and they were fine. They're expensive, though. $6-$10, depending on local availability.
