filter problem

Ok well i have a 10 gallon tank... Im away from home right now and my filter is not working right.. it always messes up but i fix it... im not home right now and my mom dont know how to fix it... will my fish die without the filter running for a few days????

may die from lack of oxygen i dont know, you could throw in airstones to keep the tank oxygenized or whatever the word is.. thats the only thing i oculd think of that your mom could do.
