I think that's a jaguar, he will need a tank of atleast 75g , preferably 120g when he grows up to be an 18" fish.

jag, dovi, or motogunse. I always have troble if the fish is facing sideways

Jag... 18" is unrealistic, most will never get over 15"

Whether its 15" or 18" it really doesn't make much difference, in either case it should have a tank larger than 18" wide and 4 feet long.
