Depends on the line you get and the individual and f/m ratio and age mix. The Asian ones are totally overbred/inbred/wackbred and tend to have washed-out colors and behaviors. The "purer" strains are more like they are in the wild: some of them can be aggressive, some only so-so.

IME and IMO if you keep them in large schools with lots of swimming space and plants, you will see little or no aggression at all. Mine spar a lot, but that's it. No problems and I have a mix of LFS (Asian? Who knows) and RSG (Rainbow Studio Group) pure strain.

Any bottom feeder so long as it's not a predator. They get along great with clowns, SAE, gudgeons. They almost have a "symbiotic" relationship with bottom feeders when it comes to veggies. They'll hover over the veggie and eat the bits and pieces that float away from the bottom feeder.

Nope, but if you don't over feed them they will eat algae. They are omnivores in the wild: insects on the surface and algae. Most people feed them too much protein. They need their veggies but won't really eat anything you drop in the tank or stick to the sides, unless it floats up from the bottom.

Concerning boesemani

What's a good MF ratio? What's a good number?

I'm was looking at a school 6 or more boesemani. What would be the advantage of 10 Boesemani vs having a school of 6 boesemani and maybe 3-5 New Guinnea or Torqouise? 48x13x24 tank

How large of a Praecox school for a 30x12x25(37gallon).

Are you referring to the New Guinea, Melanotaenia affinis, or the Salmon Red Rainbowfish, Glossolepis incisus? A lot of people call Glossolepis incisus New Guinea rainbowfish and that name belongs to M. affinis and not G. incisus.

The advantage is that you wouldn't be overcrowding the tank. G. incisus, if that's what you meant by the above, get to 6" and M. lacustris, 5".

It's the Later, Glossolepis incisus
I already have 1...

It's a question now of how many Boesmani....
