R/T Afra

I was at my LFS and I noticed that they had an Afra labeled R/T Afra. It just os happened that their cichlid/freshwater specialist was out that day so I was hoping that someone could tell me what the "R/T" means, and exactly which Afra species it is. Thanks to anyone who can help.

Never heard that before. Red-tailed? Thats my best guess.

the RT stands for Red Top...the color of the dorsal fin...could be Cynotilapia afra "Mara" or "Likoma"....

Ah! Red Top makes sense... but why they would use that abbreviation I'll never know. Species labelled "red tops" do not always have reddish colored dorsal fins, they can also be orange or yellow.

I KNOW! It seems they RARELY are really red! Ticks me off! Hehe!
