I really need to know fast, whether I should move the angel to the other tank or the gouramis (x 2) who may have just layed eggs..as they dont seem to like one another.

If I move the angel it will live with - 1 x pleco, 1 x convict, 2 x clown loaches, and a possible danio (unless thats a very very bad move!)
(its a slightly bigger tank too)

That means the gouramis will live with 5 x corys, 1 x upside down catfish (and the danio if the angel may eat him)

What do people think? or should it be the other way around??

angel in with a convict?? I don't think that is a good mix.
how big is the tank?? can you use a tank divider?

Oh dear - so no angel with convict..
Can the convict go with the gouramis i wonder? ??
Ive just moved all the corys in together and they are so much more lively its wonderful to see.
I cant use a divider as the tanks arent that big unfortunately.
Tank 1 is about 25-30g (5 albino corys, angel and 2 gouramis)
Tank 2 is about 30-35g approx (1 pleco, 2 loaches, 1 danio, 1 upside down catfish and 1 convict)

(not my choice by the way - they are rescued)

Oh and by the way, I don't think your gouramis layed eggs. You would know. The male makes a nest of bubble on the top of the water, and you would be 100% sure if they did.

But maybe this did happen to you, so I dunno.

it can be considered 'typical' when there are agression issues between gouramis and angels. much of it depends on the species of gourami you have. remember angels are cichlids- tho mildly agressive

convicts are generally considered agressive(there are varying degrees of agression when it come to cichlids)
I suspect you may have issues with the convict and the gouramis..as well as known issues with angels and convicts.

you may be looking for another tank :hang:

Aghghgh!!!
Sorry, just cant seem to get this right.

Ok, so Ive put all the corys in together and they are so lively!! Its like theyve suddenly come alive!

Now whats happened, is the Angel has gone really subdued - is staying over the other side of the tank, with the Gouramis ?? The Angel seems a bit freaked at the 5 corys.
Meanwhile, in Tank 2: the convict is really quiet and the danio is racing around. The catfish just wants to hide and the loaches are acting strange!
The loach and catfish are fighting over one particular cave!!

The gouramis are Pearl gouramis, I think..
Supgourami - there are a few bubbly things on top of the plants and water, with little "poppy seeds" on them?

thats sounds okay. like i ahd said in your previous post, add lots of plants, fake or real. plants to waer the angel and gouramis cant move about (haha, not that much, but you get my meaning). You really need to look for alternative homes for the convict or angel (depending on which one you want to keep) and the loaches. the angel will not eat the danio, more than likely the danio may pick on the angel. But, the convict is probably the most aggressive fish you have. The angel and gouramis are just in tight quarters. Lots of plants/hiding places are key when you have such small tanks with all of these aggressive fish.

OK...thanks Lorazoo - Ive been and bought some more plants..Hopefully this will help..Im beginning to wonder if the fish I have is actually a convict, as it seems the most passive out of all the fish I havce - I wonder if I can take a photo and post it here?

Also bought some dried shrimp, blood worms and some bottom feeder pellets (hope these are all suitable).

Thanks again
