That when someone asks a question like. Can I put an Oscar and guppy together? And most people, of course, say, "No, the Oscar will eat the guppy,” There is always that one person who says, "I have and Oscar and guppy together and the Oscar doesn't bother the guppy,"

I've always wondered if they are telling the truth or just arguing the point of the majority. Given, the example I gave was an extreme one. But I think I'm making sense in my observation.

Which begs the point, Do people actually always tell the truth about what they have or what they've done on websites like this? After all, who's going to check up on them? The Aquarium Police???

I was wondering the same thing, Rosie. Like House says, we're all liars.

Well, if House says it, then it must be. He is always right ;)

Man, this is so true--and frustrating!!!! People should seriously consider who is answering the question, how experienced they sound, and if they give logical REASONS for their recommendation. Anyone who gets 5 answers of "no, don't do it, and here's why" and only 1 "yeah, go ahead it's fine" and goes ahead and does it is either really dumb or else they were just looking for someone to agree with what they were planning on doing anyway.

I find that this is usually the case.

Some lie for malicious reasons, some are telling the truth...to be fair, exceptions always exist....they may be one in ten thousand, but they do happen....however, an exception is nothing to base one's own actions on.

....however, an exception is nothing to base one's own actions on....unless, of course, you're House (my wife loves this show, as do I).
