Surrogate mother?!!!

Just a quick ask......................one of my baby guppies seems to have adopted one of my Rams. it follows the Ram everywhere and is forever trying to kiss it (or so it seems)! Any ideas on why would be welcome. Funny as............
 
Well, since a guppy mother will eat their young instead of nurturing them I doubt the baby has 'adopted a surrogate'. Not sure how old this baby is but chances are good that its a male. That being said, males like to pursue the bigger females because they tend to have healthier/more babies. Guppies get confused sometimes.
