At the moment I have a 2' Pictus Catfish, 1.5' Dwarf Gourami, 1.75' Paradise Fish, 1.75' Blue Gourami, three small Zebras 2 1' Tetras, 1' Angelfish and a 1.25' Black Mollie. I have a standard 20 Gallon tank with one rock, a log and the sizes I posted are slightly generous to be on the safe side. At the time all of these fish are behaving quite well with each other, once I returned the two Tiger Barbs, they were picking at the other fish. Could anyone give me some advice on what else I should put in and How full my tank is?

I also purchased a Banjo Cat that had been in the LFS about a month and oddly upon opening the bag to put it in my fish tank I found it to be dead. Are these fish known to be so fragile or was this a freak coincedence?

Thanks

In my opinion, which is all you really get anyway, I think you are pretty much full on fish. Especially when the grow out. Pictus cats get 6-7 inches (at least mine did), the angelfish will also get pretty big, along with the Gourami, some Tetra's can be 3-4 inches when grown.

Other opinions will follow. Good luck.

And aren't fish addictive? They should have a warning label on them.:D .

I agree--while it might seem there's room for more fish right now, there won't be once your curent stock reaches adult size. Since this is the level you should consider, you're full.

Banjo's aren't really very sensitive, IME. It's possible the fish was damaged during handling, or the store did a bad job acclimating them when they came in. How long between purchase and discovering it was dead?
