Fighting Clown Loaches

I think I have a leadership battle going on in my tank.
They've been getting along for a while now, but one has been picking fights for the last two days. They look to get rather intense, I don't see a lot of damage, but they are graying out a bit.

Is this normal? Should I let them settle this or move one to another tank?

How many are there and how big is the tank?

Clowns will establish a pecking order and will fight to do so. Typically they fade when they fight. Once the order is astablished they will get along better. Hopwever, they will also occasionally fight just to be sure the pecking order can't be changed.

I have witnessed day long fights going all over the tank but have never seen an serious damages occur. It is neat when they lip lock in the process.

You should have at least 3 clowns and more is better.
