He/she keeps eating the other fish.

This isn't about the size of the other fish in relation to the size of his mouth.

I watched him take out another fish last night. This 2" Bala nips at the other fish. First he nips at their tail until they can no longer swin.

Then he nips at the body until they've ost enough flesh to die. They sink and he finishes his meal.

Very carnivorous for a fish that supposed to be omnivorous and docile (and a fry at 2")

How big is the tank, and how big is the shark. He could be feeling cramped. They need alot of room to swim freely. They can grow up to 16" inches.

I know about how big they can get.

Right now, he's a 2" Bala in a 70. More than enough room to swim. Within the next year my plan is a larger 125-150gal tank to house the Bala.

But again, he's a fry. The tank size shouldn't be an issue. I think I just got one that is very aggressive and carnivorous.
