The light just went on in my tank and there is a snail on the front glass. Is it ok?

It is if you like snails. If you don't like snails then, no.

I Have ramshorn snails and maylasian live bearers in my tanks I find them very useful, I couldn't imagine running a planted tank without them. Also if you only seen one you probably have ten.

I have to side with odessa on this one and say that it is hard to imagine having a planted tank without the help of MTS...That being said, pond snails are (in my opinion) one of the biggest nuisances in aquaria. Search the net for pictures of snails and do your best to identify what type of snail you have. Then let us know and we can give you some further advice.

Because thet are in places you can't see. Like your filter, in your gravel. In your hoses. In, under and behind your plants, rocks, driftwood.

They are so small, it's hard to tell, but I'm pretty shore they are Ramshorn. I just saw them today. I think they came with the amazon sword I got a few days ago because I got it at a different store.

I don't like anyone cleaning my hoses except me. I saw a snail almost look at one of the hoses and I dove in the tank to make him look the other way. **** snails.

I have quite an abundance of those little ramshorn snails, at first i hated them, but now i dont mind them so much, when i see a large congregation of them I start smooshing them and my little fishys get to enjoy a delicious treat;)

Oh yea, another question(not about cleaning hoses). Do the snails eat the plant leaves.

i think the pond snails are the worst on live plants, i have those ramshorn ones , the only plant i have are anacharis, they seem to pretty much leave it alone, but i dont know about other plants, i also have some trumpet snails, and they just stay in the gravel all the time:)
