I am working on stocking my 75 gallon tank. I was originally planning on putting Rosy Barbs, Blue Gourami, Cory's, Boseamani Rainbow, Rams, Glowlight Tetras and Lemon Tetra's in it. However, now that I have seen some of these fish in person and seen the other fish we have around the house I have changed my mind on some things. I have decided not to include the barbs and the rainbows. Also, I am thinking of exchanging the glowlight tetras for something else although I am not sure about that one as I still like the glowlights. Here is what is left:

Blue Gourami - 2
Cory Cats - 6
Bolivian Ram - 2
Glowlight Tetras - 12
Lemon Tetras - 11

The only thing that must stay is the lemon tetras because they are already in the tank. I would really like to get some more mid-size fish into the picture. Fish that are in the 3-4" range.

Any ideas?

Note : I have hard alkaline water.

To that list, I would add 2 gold gouramis (three spot variant) and a piar of pearl gouramis. Make sure you only get one male of the three spots/gold gouramies (gourami males have pointed dorsal fin) and move the tank decor around when you add more gouramies to the tank to limit territorial problems, as well as have lots of tall plants to break up the lines of site and help with any agression as well.

Aren't the blue gouramis also three spot gourami's? Would having a male blue and a male gold be a challenge?
