I have no idea what I want in my 20g. I want it to be a communitiy tank with lots of fish. Im getting it this month.

The best place to start would probably be looking thru one of the many on-line freshwater tropical fish directories and seeing if any of the fish catch your eye. Then start making some decisions.
By "lots of fish" do you mean you want lots of different types of fish or that you want to have a lot of activity in the tank so you're always seeing something intersting when you look in the tank?
If you wants lots of different fish, you're going to have a hard time of it as a 20 gallon just doesn't offer much room, and most smaller fish should be in schools of 6 or more--which eats up space fast.
If you just want alot of activity and color, that's easier as you can concentrate on choosing fish that display a variety of behaviors, colors and forms and that inhabit different levels of your tank.

I want a tank with lots of activities and color. I didnt mean alot of diffrent types of fish. I want to see something intresting everytime i look in my tank.

This is what I decided on.
1 Dwarf gourami
6 Neon tetras
3 Platies(IMO, more interesting than guppies, but you can get guppies too)
6 Panda cories
2 otos or shrimp(Optional, guppies/platies will eat algae, but not all)

my 20 gallon has 2 powder blue gouramis, 3 platy's, 8 neon tetras, and 3 albino cory's....
no problems with aggression, water quality, or anything else.....
it looks great too... lots of color and movement....
i have 16 cardinals, three guppies and 3 ottos in my 20 gallon :D
