So, I had a problem with ammonia in my 75g tank and lost three tetra's to ammonia poisoning. My tank has been cycled for a few days now. Last night I did a water change and cleaned the gravel and todat when I came from work THREE MORE LEMON TETRAS WERE DEAD. There were no out side signs of distress. My readings are fine, ammonia and nitrites at 0 and nitrates < 5.

My fish seemed really upset yesterday during the water change, they were pretty panicked. Did this have something to do with their death, or am I still losing fish due to previous ammonia levels? Am I likely to lose more?

hello there, from what i understand, exposure to high ammonia levels can cause permanent damages to your fish.. so it is a possibility i think

Or it is possible a disease was picked up while the stress levels of the fish were up.
