Anyone ever moved a planted tank?

I'm just moving across town and I have heard that if you wrap the plants up in newspaper they will be fine for a few hours?

Any other advice?

Wet paper, wrap plants in it. If you have it put the wrapped plants in a plastic bag, and you're good to go.

I usually just use an XLarge, plastic, lock down cooler(Igloo)....fill it half way with water and then put all my plants in the cooler. Then I'll net the fish out and put them into the cooler as well...lock the lid down and away you go. Plants stay wet, you get to keep alot of the original water, the fish are safe and secure, and the temperature remains stable inside the cooler...no worries about water spillage either.
