I want to put some rocks on the back of my aquarium, do I put some styrofoam there so the rocks wont' scratch the glass? I don't know if syrofoam is resistant to water.

It might work, but styrofoam does float, and Im not sure what chemicals it may have in it. What most people use is flourescent lighting grid, sometimes called egg crate. You can find it at home depot ar other big hardware store. If you want to stack rocks, you can buy aquarium safe silicone (it will say that on the tube) and stick the rocks together with that so they wont fall and injure your fish.
